Preparing you for the road

 Ron Bandy previously taught defensive driving for letter carriers with the United States Postal Service. He also taught driver education at Kirkwood Community College.Currently, Ron is a member of the Iowa Association of Safety Education, Motorcycle Safety Foundation, and a certified instructor with the Iowa Motorcycle Rider Education Program. He graduated from the Harley-Davidson Motorcycle Academy to teach with the Rider’s Edge Program. Ron is an AARP driver safety instructor. 

Online Motorcycle Safety Foundation eCourse is required to be completed by the start of the motorcycle class and participants will need to provide proof of completion certificate at the start of the class to participate. 

Riders must be able to balance a bicycle to participate in the motorcycle riding portion of the class.

HELMET, EYE PROTECTION, LONG SLEEVE SHIRT, GLOVES, LONG PANTS & OVER THE ANKLE SHOES/BOOTS ARE REQUIRED.  

Successful completion of this class will waive the driving test only with the DOT, a written test is still required.
